Re: Lamar Walden R.I.P.
It is sad that we are losing some of the pioneer leaders in the muscle car era. He certainly was out front in the later development of the "W" motor. He was also a very good racer back in the day.
RIP.

Re: Lamar Walden R.I.P.
We became involved in a ZL1 project in 1988. One of the Chevy engineers I spoke with at SC-Indy advised me to call Lamar as he had some original blocks. We bought one from Lamar and it was as advertised. Later on I asked about a K66 amplifier mounting bracket. He said he only had one but would send it so we could copy it. And he did.
How many people would do that these days? A true Southern Gentleman.

Re: Lamar Walden R.I.P.
Really nice guy. I spoke with him a few times getting parts for the 409s I worked on.
