Re: Nice red/white/parchment L78
I don't like the VIN stamp on the block.

Re: Nice red/white/parchment L78
Ad says " Complete original drivetrain".
The COA says it isn't. |

Re: Nice red/white/parchment L78
The McNeish paperwork actually says:
<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">"not equipped with complete original drivetrain. Some of the original components have been altered. This includes the engine, transmission, and rear axle housing."</span></span> So what's actually left, to be original? What really then, is he certifying? That an MQ engine block code is used on a 396/375?..That the car is a 1968 Camaro... It's a beautiful car though. I do love that color combination. |

Triangle Chevy in Raleigh is where the blue Bunn Ls6 was delivered.

Re: Nice red/white/parchment L78
I know Jerry has changed his paperwork and terminology since that car was certified back in 2000. And, like others before mentioned, the COA isn't really saying too much. My guess is the "then" owner wanted 'something' written from Jerry for the inspection fee. It is sitting a little high, but I think it is a pretty darn good looking car. I think the rear blackout kinda matches the black RS grille, and I have a "fetish" for white interiors.

Re: Nice red/white/parchment L78
Well something is confusing here, on Jerry's cert. it states shipped from Norwood, Ohio plant on January 16,1968 to Shultz Chevrolet Carlisle, PA then dealer transfer to NC. Then up top on certificate reads sold Oct 25, 1968 at Sir Walter Chevrolet. But the NCRS states delivered to Triangle Chevrolet Inc. which as of late 1969 early 1970 it changed to Bobby Murray Chev. which is still in business. Sir Walter Chev. has been in business since 1928. So should not the NCRS doc read Shultz Chev.PA.

Re: Nice red/white/parchment L78
I personally don't like the cars offered by Flemings.....
I've seen way to many cars they've rated as 10's when actually a seven was a stretch Many Camaro & Chevelles of "used car" quality.... auction and quicky restorations by 2nd & 3rd rate flippers seem to be there mainstay inventory. This is J MHO of cars I've seen before they were purchased and inventory cars I've inspected ....
