Congrats to NJSteve (Segal) on the fine article in Hemmings Muscle Machines! I liked the article so much, I've read it twice! Wow! What a great story and KILLER CAR!!! Also, very neat gesture to have the original owner tell the story and be reunited with the car at MCACN. Good stuff!

Thank you! I was a great to see the original owner, Rick and his wife, Lenora get the credit they are due for their major part of the car's story.

I loved reading about the "phone call".....Great story!!I think the back stories on these cars are incredible. Very fortunate to be able to get the saga first hand.

Yes, that phone call was quite memorable. I remember calling and leaving one of those "You don't know me but I think I have a car you used to own..." messages.
Rick called back within minutes and the first thing out of his mouth was "YOU FOUND HER?!!!" and the rest is history. |

You have the luck of the Irish, Steve. I would love to find the original owner of my car, as would a bunch of other guys here. The trail is too cold but some time you just get lucky.
Another great article about one of your cars. Andy

Great article Steve! The history on the car and what the owner went through to order it was quite interesting.Very much look forward to Vintage Certifying the car at MCACN in November and look forward to more stories from the owner.

Rick is quite the raconteur. You're going to have a hard time prying him out from behind the driver's seat. I have a feeling Rick won't want to leave it once he's back in the saddle again. |
