Default Something special here? "The Hugger" license plate

Not sure if this is an original piece, but I remember something like this in '69 Camaro promo literature. Price is right, at least!

Cool piece!
The Hugger campaigns started for '67, here's one ad I have saved.

Cool...I'm guessing by the bids (it has climbed to 5x the starting price) that it's a legit GM piece?

Looks like an orignal plate to me. Nice piece.

I don't want to be a skeptic because I think its cool, but the "G" fonts do not compare at all between the plates from the 69 Camaro dealer brochure and the plate on eBay...

Not sure this is worth mentioning but in the advertising shots the plates are photo edited onto the cars as they are held on with invisible screws.
