Trying to find out a fair market value on a 70 12 bolt with a CRW code. Its drum to drum with original posi and gears. Its been in storage. Its a nice dry AZ. housing. Thanks, Larry

I think you may be a little low Matt. I sold a bare CRW housing 3 years ago for that exact same price and usually see them closer to $4500 today. If this rear is from Arizona and non pitted and dry it would be a STEAL at $3000.

Hello, thank-you both for your input. I will be posting it for sale and photos today. Took awhile to dig out. Its nice but not as nice as some I've seen from here. Larry

What is the date code on the axel? Does it still have the lipped drain bolt and original plastic posi placard? How are the brakes and are the shoes original. Those items can make all the difference.

How about the value of a CRV? Comparable?

The axle tube date is stamped CRW0331B2 and the one is upside down. Its cast date is C230.

CRV (3.31 gears) would be less desirable than CRW (4.10 gears).

Didn't answer the rest of the questions from SS427 earlier. It has the lipped drain plug but no posi tag. The metallic shoes are still on one side but are worn off on the other parts of them fell out when I removed the drum. It is missing the brass brake line block but everything else is there. Correct posi and gears are there.
