Same car is listed here in classifieds for sale by owner/member of sYc. Very nice car and some great paper, but I ask myself a couple of serious questions concerning this car and the legitimacy of the claim.
1. Why was it fully restored when stating only 17,000 original miles? 2. Why not a single picture of engine pad, trans and diff numbers? If the car "retains all of its original components" as stated publicly on eBay, then why no proof of them being original to the VIN and build, or does that statement simply apply to all components being installed by and at Yenko...and the components "not" being original to a factory Z/28 build. The way I read this, the description is very open ended and I suspect this was a put together car where the numbers simply do not match. It's on the owner to prove the numbers match or offer full disclosure about the components IMHO. Was it a Yenko sold car that came back to the dealer at a later date and subsequently had an engine installed with a bunch of parts to go race with? Too many unanswered questions for a car where the asking price is in the six figure range. I like sales that include full disclosure, tons of pictures and nothing held back or appearing as vague? Call me cynical, but with many items appearing wrong on this car I have to say I smell fish.
