Default Carolina Blue '69 Camaro

Neat car, love the 1969 vintage pic.

Were Z/28 stripes available on a non-Z car? Guessing the dealer must have applied them.

The car is a Denver Hugger Camaro which was a special promotional package in the Denver zone that year. I've seen a couple of others advertised in years past and those had Z stripes also. Whether they were done by Chevrolet or not, I don't know, but I kinda think they were.

There was one here in the OKC area, but with a white vinyl top. Normally vinyl top and stripe color would match from GM, although I know of one TT 67 Z that came with a black vinyl top and white stripes. Have tried to find the car, to look at the trim tag (didn't care in the 70's).

I tend to believe any rallye stripes on a 69 other than a Z, Z10, or Z11 were dealer applied. Lots of spoilers put on by the dealer. Stripes would be even easier.

Dec. 69 pic of a car that rolled off the line in March doesn't make the stripes factory applied. Of course, doesn't make them NOT factory applied either. Just seems more plausible the dealer did it.

I worked at a Buick dealership and we added a few touches and a few emblems to a Regal to make a "Mini Riviera". Of course there was not such model, but many of the folks purchasing the Mini Riviera had no idea Buick didn't build it.

My old 67 z/28 was Nantucket Blue, Blue interior with Black top and white stripes. Still had factory paint on it when I had it.

If you had that car today you'd quickly be sick of explaining it to all the Camaro "experts" everywhere you took it.

Agreed...everyone's an expert....

Seller just knocked $7k off the asking price, which puts it in pretty reasonable territory, IMO.
