Do you guys know of someone restoring the assembly? It's got a unique insulation on the wires with a squeezed crimp and the plating on the back light housing?
Thanks Rich |

Just out of curiosity, I've seen housings in yellow cad, and silver cad. Are both correct?

I have not seen any that were clear cad or zinc. I have taken a bunch of these apart and there is always a nice sample of the original plating under the copper lamp socket and I have only seen gold plating.
Some later service replacements are made from galvanized sheet stock like the disc brake backing plates were. Here is a shot of the galvanized lamp. But never say never. Mike Last edited by m22mike; 06-03-2017 at 02:51 PM. |
