Default Green-on-Green '70 Chevelle, Possible SS396?

Weird car, almost has the sound of a scam judging by the seller's description. At the very least, the seller is clueless. Car itself looks okay.

I have to say this is the first time I've ever seen someone screw up the grille SS emblem mounting location on a '70. Who thought that looked right?

Subject VIN 136370K120377

Exactly right on all counts Tony including foolish SS nose emblem location!
Could it be intentional/subliminal advertising crafted for guys like us to buy and fix such a glaring but simple solution problem?

Exactly!

I actually received a nice PM from a previous owner of this car. I'll post it below, verbatim, in case anyone is interested possibly buying the car:

Hi, My name is Mark. I guess I don't post enough as I cannot respond on this page but wanted to let everyone know about his car. I owned it. Was a very strange sale when I sold two years ago.

Car was VERY nice. All numbers matching. Build sheet, window sticker, Protecto Plate etc.

Long story but I was very careful in the transaction as I was concerned about a Scam on the buying end. They were in such a hurry to get the car that they did not even get the original window sticker which I still have to this car! I texted them multiple times that I could send it to them if they wanted but they said they would call me.

Again, was a very real 396/350 4 speed with AC and fully documented. I have lots of pictures and detail if anyone is interested.

Mark

Member BlackL78M22Nova, the previous owner mentioned above forwarded the below pics also shot of the WS he still has from this car.
Before posting the WS, I shot a copy over to member Fsc66 who confirmed it's not original but a reproduction novelty item.
Kudos to Fsc66 also others here in the know who so freely offer their Document and Trim Tag expertise to SYC members!

I wonder if there has been work/damage to the front of the car? Usually you don't just move an emblem to the wrong place for no apparent reason.
