Rob, do you know the GM part number for the base you need. I have a few NOS bases and one used original base for big blocks. Let me know if this helps.

I checked the air cleaner today, and mine is not the same. The snorkel is offset to the driver side of the car or left side. I checked with a friend who said it was probably for a 67 Chevelle or Impala.

I have a 68 Impala big block air cleaner like the one in your first pic. Part # 6424800. I thought the 4 speed air cleaners had a smooth snorkel.

My 69 Z24 4 speed air cleaner has the snorkel pointing toward the passenger side and is smooth. Are the 69's the same as 68's? Anyone know?

They are different Dave, crankcase breather is in different location.
