I have been doing research on the ink stampings of brake hoses on 1969 Z/28's. The only thing I can come up with is red ink stampings on all three hoses. I agree on the fronts being red ink stamped, but the rear hose I have a picture of has a white ink stamp. I know for a fact that this rear hose was never changed and I want to stamp my new hoses. Before I stamp my new hoses I wanted to get some feedback on what other people found on there original rear brake hose.

LOS APR of 69'
I would imagine more than just a single supplier.

Though not Camaro but rather Chevelle, I have seen red, orange, green and white but all still had the same code markings as yours (other than date change) so it would seem all were cut from the same master hose roll in various colors regardless of what model they were destined for. As for the green, the only ones I have ever seen were on our Yenko Chevelle and a couple of NOS ones. The other colors were very common. As was said earlier, maybe a supplier variance?

Anyone else finding a different color then red on their original rear brake hose for a 1969 Z/28?

Agreed. The color probably meant something to the bulk hose manufacturer...

I was hoping to get more feedback from owners of 1969 Z/28's with an original rear brake hose.

Might be my first post here as I'm more active on the CRG site. Anyway, my '69 04B Van Nuys Z with 72K miles, the rear brake line has the red stripe with barely discernable white lettering on the opposite side. I can really only see the "A" and an arrow.
The fronts stripes and markings/lettering are red. Hans

My 69 Van Nuys 02A Z/28 with 72K miles has red lines and lettering on the rear. I'll check out the fronts and get pics.
