Default '69 L78 Chevelle

Interesting car - sure looks like an original L78 with the 6k rpm tach, KF 3.55 12-bolt posi, original 837 alternator and deep groove pulleys, BO code radiator, etc. Original engine and trans are missing and the car has had some horrendous bodywork on the LH rear quarter that spilled into the tail and trunk pans.

Still has old ladder bars and air shocks installed...could be a cool project for the right money.

Neat car for sure, but also a perfect example as to why Stevie Wonder should not do body work when he has been drinking....

I don’t think the partial quarter looks bad for a 70s job from what I can see. It’s the peeling paint and rattle canned rust that really makes it look terrible.

From the eBay ad: "I have had the local PD run a VIN inspection and is ready for a bonded title." Oh boy....

Claims he has owned it for 8 years and never got a clean Nevada title ??
All it needs is a full left quarter, extension panel, trunk pan, tail panel and all the ugly goes away. Piece of cake...

This one has been relisted...previous auction was a no-sale at $8900, and it's currently at $8100 with the reserve not yet met.

For me, it's the thick bondo that looks horrible.
