Default Reproduction 67-69 roof skins

Anyone use the reproduction 67-69 Camaro/Firebird roof skins? My cars roof is pretty beat up from kids jumping on it at some point. If it was a vinyl top car I might just do the bodywork on it and cover it with vinyl, but it's not. Trying to decide if I should look for a good used part or if the repros are acceptable. Any feedback is appreciated. Thxs

There are a few 68s at DVAP with roof still on.

The web pics might be years old. I've called about donor parts in the past and been told what I wanted had been removed a long time ago.

Roof Skins are actually pretty good from experience and multiple buddies that also used them.

The only issues for some people are the corners where the trim meets the roof. You would have to fit / modify and body work prior to painting. You have to do this with the factory roof anyway if you want perfect fit / finish.

I would not hesitate to use one. Good Luck with your decision.....Dave

----Several years ago I restored a 69 Z that was massively mis-described. Among many other panels it also needed a roof which I got from NPD. Came out well and I was surprised as he wasn't the greatest body guy as he smoked weed all day long (something I didn't know at the time). Not sure this will help, but I'm sure more members will chime in....Bill S

Best thing about roofs is people rarely pay any attention to how they are supposed to look because they don’t see them often
I’ve chopped a few of roofs in my day.

As for the weed smoking painters sometimes those are the best ones. If you can get them to work
