If the build date of a car is 10D and the motor build date is October 08th, would a starter with Oct 30th be acceptable for restoration

What is the assm date of the car? 10D was the projected date. Usually Delco fell a month or so behind. What other known correct Delco items do you have on the car? Alternator, Voltage Regulator, Ignition switch or Distutor even though it was installed during engine assm, could give you clues as to where Delco was at....Joe

I will check the voltage regulator or ignition switch but outside of that no distributor. The booster is 267 day of 1969 and master cylinder in 262 day of 1969 Lou |

I think I'd be looking for a starter with a late September - mid October date.

Starters were installed after the engine stamped date.Delco-Remy had an ornament plant less than 4hours away from your Assembly plant,so I too would look for a sooner date than Oct.30.,being as it was in the 5th week of Oct.
Having one from late Aug.1969,up to around October 24th,and not going over that would be more realistic to me. |

Might just be a Camaro dunce but I have questions.
Pics are Delco stuff on a third week Feb 69 Baltimore Chevelle. Delco is still Delco right? 9K I would think is for a 1970? Am I missing something here? Were 1969 Z28 cars being built in Oct 69? I would think Oct 68 makes more sense? |
