What would this number fuel pump be for 259Y40616 it's Nos

Guessing it is the same as a 40416, which would be Big Block Chevy.

Not sure why all the numbers in front of 40416. Maybe date code. 259th day of year "Y", whatever year "Y" represents?

I see Joe beat me to it.

Fuel pumps with a 2 letter code works like this.

The first letter is the month. A-L. "A" is January etc. Letter "I" is used.

The second letter is the year using the information I posted

Joe, Can you write about when Julian Dating started versus only Month & Year

as I have a CI40726 that you said was March (C) of 1969 (I)

To All: I am looking for Correct Stamped Steel Fuel Section from
a Fuel Pump That looks like this................

I have a 40727 on my list with "FJ" which is June 1970. I think you had a pump with a Julian date that was July 1970. I could've happened at that poin but I would need to see more samples to confirm....Joe
