Default 1967 Ford Fairlane GT/A Convertible

This car belongs to my brother-in-law and I am listing it here for him. If you have any questions or interest, please PM me here. Car is located in Aurora, IL, 40 miles west of Chicago.

390-4V 'S' code, C6 automatic, Dark Moss Green, Saddle Interior (column shift, no console) Power Steering, front Disc Brakes, Power Top, (top functions as it should but needs to be replaced), AM Radio, (not working). Wipers also do not work. The odometer reads 67500 miles (unsure of accuracy). See attached Marti Report for build info and specifics.

Originally purchased in Monroe Wisc. I have paperwork (receipts and copies of previous titles) that places it in northwestern Iowa since at least 1976. Engine was rebuilt by a Ford Dealership in 1977. It was also painted by the dealer at this point, and is the paint job that it still has. The dealer then owned it for a number of years; Used in parades and such. The person I bought it from had bought it from the Ford dealer and used it as a weekend/cruise night driver, as I also have. I purchased it in April 2006, and it has been in Aurora Ill. since then, and has been kept in a heated garage. Believed to be numbers matching/correct vehicle.

The carburetor and transmission (B&M shift kit added) have been rebuilt. Front brake rotors were replaced with drilled rotors. Front wheel bearings, starter and tires also have been replaced. Exhaust and shocks have been replaced (air shocks in rear). Vintage Keystone mag wheels.
Engine runs well. A little smoke on startup, possibly valve guide seals. Brakes and steering are good. Rides very nice.

Body is straight with a couple of small dings. Paint is fair to good. No body rust visible. Underneath; rockers, frame rails, and floors are all solid. One rust hole in passengers’ side rear trunk floor drop. Could be easily patched.
Interior, front seats and back seat have been recovered. Carpet was new when I bought the car. All interior panels seem to be original. Dash pad has small crack near radio speaker. Door arm rests also have a bit of cracking. In door courtesy lights need new lenses. Glass is all intact with no cracks, windows all crank up and down. Windshield shows wear but no cracks.

At some point in the 70’s the vehicle was in an accident that effected the front driver’s side. It was repaired by sectioning that front corner from another car on to this car. This is from the shock tower forward and part of the core support. I have the original NOS Ford parts (shock tower, inner fender, and core support) to repair/restore this. However, it drives and rides very well so I never saw the need. Those parts are included with the car in case someone wanted to do a complete restoration.

This is not a pristine show car but a decent cruise night car, or an excellent candidate for a partial or complete restoration since it is complete with most original components intact. Hagerty online valuation puts this at 36,000 (good) and 22,900 (fair). I am asking, $29,900.
