Thanks for posting. Could you list the magazine and date of the issue when posting? Looks like a HP CARS magazine.

Here is another color test report, this time a 67 Baldwin/Motion Camaro. This is the last of the color tests that I have right now, but I am always looking for more. The seventh picture is not part of the test, it is an ad from the same issue.

BBdon, do you have any info on 1968 Motion Performance Camaros? I am still researching info for this Camaro project that my son and I are working on. Car was originally purchased by a GM R/D engineer who worked on the Mark IV engine development and took the car to B/M Performance for the conversion. This car has a long story behind it so we what everything as correct as possible.

thanks for posting the articles.....I like where it says about the 427 Camaro "It will run thru the 1/4 mile in the mid-12's yet tame enough for his wife to drive to the supermarket." I can visualize that happening!

Mr Motion,
I can do that. This is from High Performance Cars, March 1968. As with the others, the last scan is not part of the test, it is the Baldwin/Motion ad from the same issue. http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-1.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-2.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-3.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-4.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-5.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-6.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-7.jpg http://www.sonic.net/bbdon/free/68m427-8.jpg |

Thankyou for the pictures. We believed that this car was similiar to the one in the magazine. Through our research we have some documentation, pictures and newpaper clippings of this car at Detroit Dragway. We will keep you posted on our progress and yes we are in continual communication with the original owner who is the GM R/D engineer.

I just bought a '68 Baldwin Motion Camaro Phase III and it was owned by a man in Michigan who works for GM.
I am wondering if it is the same car you were talking about on your 01/07/01 POST?? Mark Hassett |

Hi Mark
Thanks! I know your Chevelle and name through the Chevelle clubs as well.ACES as well as NCOA (Now defunct). It is a very Nice Chevelle from what I have seen of it in those publications and carshows.I think I saw it here at Vettefest too. I too am working on acquiring a 1970 L-78/L-89 Chevelle SS.One of only 18 made with a Real buildsheet.I have pictures and copies of all it's paperwork. It has the original Drivetrain, but needs total resto.,but the owner won't let it go. To me this is the Crown Jewel of 1970 Chevelles! |
