There a more than a few documented cars in outstanding condition, and a few dozen belong to this site's members. Personally, I think a serious contender for "nicest" (condition, history, paperwork) of them all is Brian's Daytona Yellow car, or perhaps his "ex car" as it was advertised for sale some time ago (see https://www.yenko.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000096.html ).
Described by Brian as: 7200 original miles. Original Daytona Yellow paint with black vinyl top and stripes. Rare X66 trim level Yenko. O1B build date, one of the first Yenko's ever sold at Canonsburg. All original glass, interior, chrome, etc in mint condition. Original numbers matching 427 L/72 and BE rear. Rare power steering car. Mag wheels with Goodyear WTGT's. This car is equipped with a Yenko built and installed competition 427 with a host of extras including special race transmission, Hurst shifter, etc. To many special Yenko items to list. This car is the only one in the world with these options. Fully documented with inventory sheet and all Yenko receipts for all special work done for the competition driveline. |

Mark Hassett's car has to be one of the most original, as well as being screaming fast. One of the most desirable for sure.

I also feel Brian Henderson's Yenko is the NICEST and the MOST VALUABLE. LOW miles and the Original Paint plus the History and the Paperwork. Can't Believe he'd want to sell this car.

I haven't talked to Brian in awhile and I'm glad he DIDN'T SELL his car. He truly does APPRECIATE his car and the history of it. Most of all he is just a NICE guy who is always willing to HELP someone out.

Brian and I have become close friends over the past couple of years. I have seen alot of Yenkos at the Reunions since 1998. And i can say that there is with out any doubt no other Yenko like it in the WORLD. That car can NEVER be replaced. Where will anyone find an ORIGINAL Yenko with a Don Yenko installed 427 race motor, fully documented. When he told me that he was thinking of selling it, i was trying everything in my heart for him to find a reason to NOT SELL this one of a life time finds. I know people had come to see the car. But nobody could pull the triger. And i'am relieved in my own way because Brian is one of the FEW that appriciates this car and its history.

Where did Brian find this car and how long ago? What kind of shape was it in when he first saw it? Has he had it awhile? |
