Lee Chevrolet
-------Has Lee Chevrolet in Wellesley Ma. ever been brought up in relation to COPOs?Reason I ask is that in the spring of 1969 while looking for a new car(eventually got a 396/350 Camaro)I stopped in Lee and while I was there a truck was unloading a full load of Chevelles.Of that load three were COPO 427/425 Chevelles.The one I remember best was silver with blue vinyl top,blue gut/with buckets and 4-speed,and black optional stripe down the side.To this day Im pissed off at myself for not buying that Chevelle.It was such a cool color combo.
-------I lived over an hour from there at the time and didnt get by there regularly enough to see if they recieved other COPO stuff,but they were noted as a performance dealer in the greater Boston area!Lee still exists but as foriegn car daler now.I forget which brand.......Bill S
