Default Replacement Front Coil Springs

Does anyone have a part number for a front coil spring that will have a big block'69 Chevelle sitting close to stock height. Most replacement springs that I have seen end up holding the car way too high. I'd rather have the car low than too high. This is how the car sat when new and I never had a wheel hop problem. It handled reasonably well too, with the help of the F41 sway bar that I added.

If you promise not to laugh, I will tell you what I've been told is a PERFECT spring for the front.

Well, Dan Jensen recently put springs in his LS-6 Chevelle, and he ordered what he calls his "usual" rear springs, which are for a GTO, and ordered front springs for a stripped Chevelle. Well, the front sat too high, but he happened to have a set of front springs in the corner of this shop, and after comparing, put them in, and they worked perfect. They were for a '67 Firebird 326 auto convertible! The spring place he uses is in Kansas, Coil Spring Specialties (785-437-2025). Don't laugh too hard...

I think I read somewhere that Pontiac designed the suspension of the first Firebirds to sit 1" lower than the Camaro for better handling and the visual effect. Might just explain the good ride height.

Keith
This is what I have on my Chevelle.
Front-Part#3960665
Rear-Part#3960652
I like the height these springs offer for my Chevelle.
Correct rear heighth especially. No wheel hop at all.
I'm tired of that 70's higher in the back look.Click my homepage to see.

Hey Rick!! Their is no better look IMO than a 70 Chevelle SS with Gabriel Hijacker air shocks and L60 15's on the rear just like mine! Now that is the hot look.
