I tried to edit a post I made this morning (1/10/03) and received the following message:

This post can no longer be edited because the maximum edit time has expired

I never got this message before. What is the maximum time?

What if I make a mistake in my post?

Users can edit their own posts up to 6 hours after they are made. Where the change is substantive, you should mark the post as edited so as to alert viewers to the changed content. For cosmetic changes it's better not to do so
