I have been talking with a gentleman about a 69 yenko camaro. He said it was bought new at superior in or around Cincinatti Ohio. The car is white with an L-88,low milage and been in storage since 1972.
According to the yenko facts on this site there was no white ones. But,he said he had copo docs, superior docs, yenko docs and window sticker. He is also the original owner. Can anyone tell me anything about all this. thanks |

Could this possibly be a yenko or copo?Icould really use some help here.I am suppose to look at the car fri. or sat.
I have dealt with many camaros in my life. But nothing in this category. The guy is asking 35 grand and the car will need another 25-30 spent restoring it.I am use to dealing with 15-20 thousand dollar cars, and this is a big diffrence. Thanks |

Who knows might be the best way to answer you with such limited info. Go look at the car, and, get all the info from the data plate on the cowl. Maybe the color has been changed.
The paperwork should help clear up the questions. When you see it, come back & let us hear what you found. Whether it's a Yenko, or, a Copo, it's worth the price. |

If you want to see one of two real Douglass * Yenkos in Dover White, there will be one at the Chicago Chevy Vette Fest this weekend.

Thanks for the reply. Is the Douglass the only ones that were white or was it possible for the Yenko chevrolets to be white also?I was under the impression that there were no white ones.
This car is definatly something different, not just a big block car.He has to much documetation and pictures when it was raced. The car has been in storage since 72 when the motor lost oil pressure. He tore it down and the main web was cracked. He still has all the motor parts in the trunk.13000 miles on the car. |

No Canonsburg Yenkos were white.
Make sure you get the tag info and the VIN and any drivetrain #'s. Take a picture of the docs. If you're spending the $, do the research.

You need to check all the numbers but if you are looking for a quick check look at the pass rear axle tube stamped number and it should have a BE code. This does not prove or disprove anything but is a good sign if it has the BE.
