New on the market today. 1962 Biscayne 2dr post, special order 409/409 dual quad, radio/heater delete, T-10 close ratio 4 speed, 4:56 posi, red/red, 3 owner complete history, 3200 actual miles prior to frame off professional correct restoration. 50 miles since resto, all original componants nothing changed, absolutly perfect example of a historical drag car. Coming from a private collection, none nicer or more original in existence. Own it for two thirds of documented investment. No disapointments, museum quality. If interested PM or email.
Thanks, Motown

Tom, alumunum front end was not a available option in 62 even though you could order the parts over the counter. I have a Zip file of 15 photos available for anyone interested. Absolutly beautiful car.

I remember a couple of 62s back in the early sixties that had aluminum front ends. I was wondering if they came from the factory like that or it was an over the counter option. I think it was Don Nichelson's car I seen at Quaker City drag strip, Salem Ohio with the aluminum front end.

Tom, when the current owner purchased this car he had the opportunity to also purchase a aluminum front end which the previous owner had collected over the years, however, the asking price for just the aluminum front end was $30,000. I can not see the point of spending that kind of money to put an aluminum front end on this particular car when in essence all that would be happining would be taking a perfect original survivor car and making it non original. This particular car is so stunning in it's original form I would consider it a travesty to add or subtract anything from it with the exception of bolting on the mounted NOS M&H slicks that do come with the car. Anybody looking for one to stand out in your collection which is also has great investment potential, this is the one! WOW! 30K is a lot of money for a front clip! But I would have put on a set of old Caslers.

Some people say that there were a few 62 Lightweights built at the factory but I have not confirmed this.

There is one in Chicago that is supposed to be a documented aluminum front end car from the factory. Seen it a Vette fest a few times and at Super Chevy. Marty D. owned it and has changed hands a couple of times in the last few years. Maybe mr.70 has some imput on that car?
