Is there any real differance between original E/70 Goodyear GTs as opposed to the repops?

I believe OE tires were labeled "NYLON CORD", repops are polyester. Nylon tire cord went out of production in the early '70s and the WTGT tooling was probably converted at that time.
Nylon cord tires were crap. Lousy ride, poor traction, might last 20,000 miles.
