Default glass date question

Are glass dates consistant with build dates? The 07A car looks to have a LV windshield and the 08C 09C cars have IV. Is this about right?

Not sure if you have seen this section over at CRG but it has a lot of info on the glass topic.

Yeah Hawaiian it's printed here in front of me while I type. I know this is a Kurt S. type question but the reason I'm asking is because the 07A car had all it's glass removed except the broken windshield when I got it. I'm a little gunshy buying 1100k worth of glass, taking the car to a show, and having the judge say the glass is the wrong date for the car, if you know what I mean! For what it's worth my 04L Pace car has PPG glass, not the LOF glass referenced in the CRG bulletin. Since every piece of glass in my car (except the windsheild which I replaced)is PPG I would have to assume it came that way from the factory. PPG provided glass to Norwood as well as LOF. Best bet is to get some glass codes from cars with VIN's near yours.

Glass dates are tough to come by because no one records them but, heres a couple of sets of glass codes from an 07A coupe (N665xxx):

Windsheild - Replaced,
Left Driver - IV,
Left Quarter - JV,
Right Driver - JV,
Right Quarter - JV,
Back Light - JV

and another about 3K higher VIN (N668xxx):
Winsheild - IV,
Left Driver - JV,
Left Quarter - LV,
Right Driver - IV,
Right Quarter - JV

These are all I have anywhere in the July to October time frame of 69.

PPG & LOF glass were both originally used on Chevelles too.LOF seems to be more prominent though.

mr70,
I replaced the glass on my chevelle in '92--Autoglass USA----DC was PPG taken from side piece.---It was very hard to find a clear W/S---Their instructions on order sheet--[if the original W/S would not have been PPG go ahead and put on an appropiate LOF]----JoeG

I have only found ppg glass on camaros built around May and only front windshields. Not very common possibly a supply problem during that period.
