WOW!! What can I say? What a weekend!!

Started off kind of slow, as the air cond. was broken at the hotel, came on about about 9PM. Better to stay outside, which did not seem to be a problem.

Once again, Friday did not start off so well either, as we had rain off and on until about noon. Then, an opening in the clouds, a jet dryer (only 400 bucks an hour) and presto, racing. And what a time we had. I do not have a car count, but figure somewhere 15-20 brave souls braved the rain to make a pass or two. Lots of great racing, ETs, and most of all, FUN. Zl-1s, Motion Cars, Harrell cars, Yenkos, COPOs, race cars, does not get any better then that. Had have a slight breakage problem, as 4 cars suffered some type of problem, 1 rear end spyder gear, a broken m-21, a broken push rod and maybe a head gasket(funnycar). No major damage and all owners were still smiling at the end of the day.

Friday evening was special. The banquet was an event no one there will soon forget. Joel and friends had the 160+ attendees glued to their seats as they talked about, and answered questions about, the good old days. From the 454 Vegas to the ZL-X heads.

The indoor show on Saturday was something that would rival most major car museums. As you entered, to the left were 8 Motion cars, all lined up side by side. To the right, around the wall and down the center were 35+ other supercars, representing Harrell, Gibb, Yenko, and Chevrolet COPOs, with an array of rare, supercar related memorabilia mixed in. Add the presence of Joel Rosen, Marty Schorr and friends from Motion, plus Helen and Nancy Gibb, plus Dave Libby From Harrell performance, and you have SCR6. The ultimate Supercar experience.

I agree 150%.. This was one AWESOME weekend for me! ..To say the least.. I'd like to thank all of you who participated in this for bringing your little piece of the whole picture.. It was awe-inspiring! I got to meet and talk to alot of people and put names and faces together and hopefully made a few new friends. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet and talk to every one of you. There are some great people on this board! Everyone I met and talked to was just as down to earth and as much of a car freak as I am. It was very cool. I could probably sit here and write a book, but I'll just wrap this up by saying thanks to Mike Rusden, Dan McMichael and Mark Hassett for taking me for a little spin in your Baldwin/Motion cars. (I was probably the only person there who got to ride in 4 of the 8 B/M cars ) And all I can say is AWESOME! Thanks Guys. I had a blast!!!
