Dad's old '79 Camaro found!

Last year before graduation (high school) I noticed a camaro, that I was searching for. It just happened to be my dad's old camaro! There is no doubt in my mind that this is the exact car, as it was still wearing the original white mudflaps! After contacting the owner, I found out where he got it, and who that guy got it from, and so on, all the way back to my dad. The car has recently been resprayed in the original Bright Blue, and still retains the Stock Blue interior. The sad part is that my dad passed away a couple of years ago (i was 17). While talking to the owner, he insisted that he wouldn't sell. I really want to own this car, if not for the car, just for the keepsake memory. I don't know if the kid who has it is actually the owner, or if it's in his dad's name, but I know the kid doesn't want to sell. I didn't tell him about my dad passing away, but he does know that it's my dad's old car. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could persuade the kid to sell? I really, really want this car.
