I have a running 1969 Z-28 302 DZ Motor for sale, It was bought from wrecked Z-28 in late '72 -73 for a mid engine/Corvair transaxle conversion car that was not ever completed - Block # VO425DZ ñ Intake/Carb was swap to an edelbrock C3B sometime in the early 70's? - Carb is a GM 780 cfm unit, has most of the factory parts there from the bell housing/flywheel/big balancer/pulleys/motor mounts/starter/aluminum valve covers/etc.
I also have a DZ Carb that will go with the Motor ñ It is a correct DZ unit - Iím not sure if the codes line up with the motor as it did not come with it. It has the correct linkage hookups/vacuum choke/divorce setup ñ I have notice that most of the DZ Carbs being sold are 750 base plates/universal linkage that appear like the DZ units. This one is not with out faults ñ One bowl has been replaced/swapped and the base plate has two broken ears. The motor starts and runs fine ñ I ran it for about 15 minutes before taking the compression checks ñ all cylinders checked at 145 ñ 155 Lbs range. Oil pressure check out at 50 + lbs ñ it maxed out the gauge from start up to mid speed. This motor has been stored inside heated building for 25+ years. All components that have been mentioned will go with it. Every thing from the bell housing to the front pulley, Carb to oil pan, extra 4053 carb, motor mounts/saddles, alt.w/regulater. Motor is still mounted in transaxle/sub frame and will be run if you wish before purchasing ñ I have around 100 pictures of the motor and all components ñ email me directly at [email protected] - Motor is in North Central Ohio Price is 4500.00 |
