"Motion Performance built a limited run of both 396 and 427 solid-lifter four-speed '66 Chevelle SS models with prototype Chevrolet cowl-induction plumbing as used on NASCAR cars. Ducting picked up cool air at high-pressure area at the base of the windshield. It worked. Factory Chevelles were available with 396/375 solid-lifter engine and a real sleeper package--the 327/350 with 11-to-1 compression."
