Bob McClurg, long time musclecar photographer, who once photographed for Super Stock and Drag Illustrated, and who now contributes to such magazines as Super Chevy, will be attending SCR7.
Bob is the one who photographed the Yenko demo car, racing at York, that appeared in the July, 1969 issue of SS&DI, and also the follow up article on the Yenko Chevelle, I believe August, ’69. He still has several photos from those two shoots and plans on having them on display at the reunion.
Just recently, Bob released a very interesting book, called “Diggers, Funnies, Gasers & Altereds, Drag Racing’s Golden Era”. SSDI and Roger Huntington seemed to be the only ones who had any clue about the COPO and Yenko cars in '69. I don't recall any of the other magazines even mentioning them in. Good choice.
