Hi guys, nice site you got here, seems like the place I can find some info I've been hunting. A good friend is restoring a 69 camaro that his father purchased in 1972. Anyway the engine, tranny and ring gear (4.10's) all have a heart stamped on them. Any clue what that is? Anything significant about it, he has a spare tranny that does not have the heart so it has him wondering what it is.

Yeah,Not real sure on the exact location.I do know they were a sponser of quite a few local drag cars back in the day.Didn't someone post a pic in another thread of a Heart sponsered car?I think I commented on that.....I know I have pics I can post when I get home......

hey, thanks for the speedy replies. I'll take my camera and get pics this weekend. Some more info on the car, numbers say 396, it has a 427. The axle tag says 3.07 (or was it 8's???cant remember what he said) it has 4.10's so the heart sponsored deal sounds like it could be the ticket since the swapped parts have the heart. Tranny is origional matching vin though and it has the stamp, maybe it was rebuilt by them or something. Thanks for the info and if ya got any other keep it coming

Heart Automotive partially sponsored a ZL1 powered '70 Nova back in the early '70's. It was lettered up with "M (heart symbol) Automotive" on the front fender.
