3969854 396/402 warrenty short block stamped "CE" dated
E 28 1970 correct for Chevelle 330-350 ,,, Camaro and Nova 350 horse,,, all standard $2000 PM me if interested Thanks

Any numbers or letters at all stamped before or after the "CE" code,on this or your other block for sale?

the 854 block reads CE 153074 and the 272 block reads CE 964679,,,there is a slight chance the first 9 is an 8 it's not stamped even and the bottom of the digit is very faint! Thanks

First digit stands for the year replaced,then the unit produced from Tonawanda plant.
1-53074 is a 1971 date.
9-64679 is a 1969 date,or 1968 if an 8.

Im suprised the 854 block with a casting date of May would actually not be used untill 71? The 272 block has to be a 9 because it wasnt even cast in 68! Thanks
