As fast as the market has moved, I sometimes think I cannot keep up. I wonder what you guy's feel a 69 Pace Car I have is worth? While not a "supercar". It is a pretty neat Pacer.
First and most important, the car is a totally original one owner car with real window sticker, bill of sale, title still in the same name as on the original BOS. Was bought from the original owners wife a year ago, he had passed away. Florida car. Options are kind of nice, 350 /300, 4 speed and A/C, power top, gauges, etc. Don't see 4 speed and A/C often. The car is original and unrestored with only a repaint through the years. The undercarrige is fantastic, no pitting, no rust. Runs ok, needs a tune up from sitting. Motor 100% original and unmolested. Body needs quarters or patches, doors are good, will need fenders. Hood was stolen and GM hood was installed years ago, but was never painted and will have to be dipped. Hood will save. While car is complete and virgin, it basically needs everything touched, a full frame off would be in order. pictures can be seen at our website under Projects, Future Project, Pete's Pace Car. Not sure if we want to sell it as is or restore it and sell it. Wonder what you guy's think it is worth as it sits, and what it is worth frame off? I have some numbers in mind I will share, but would like your clean unprejudiced thoughts first. |

Frank,
Welcome Back to the Camaro Hobby... My wife and I were watching you on TV just a couple of days ago on one of the old USCC videos. ![]() A 300 HP air car, full documents... I would say $30-35 as is, and worth $60+ when complete. One owner and documents really help the value in both areas on this SB car. ![]() Phil Borris |

I have no idea what a Pace Car is worth, but here is one running over on Ebay right now:

I can't give you a price but the Pace Cars have all the right options with custom interior, SS, RS, ZL2 hood, and all the other manditory options in a convertible body style. I love the colors, although when I owned one, some folks would insult the colors.
They are unique, the only factory convertible with the bold stripes. These cars are easy to document with the trim tags showing the option, colors or both. Is your's an LA or Norwood car? |

It took approximately $98,000 to get to that point and it was a nice car to begin with! I restored it as a keeper, only NOS and original parts, no repro stuff, but I have another project I am doing now and dont like to see the car just sit. So that's why I'm selling her. You can buy a restorable Z11 from $30K to $40K. But as for what you put in to it, the sky (and your bank account) is the limit. Remember it costs about the same to restore a COPO to that level as it does a six cylinder Camaro coupe. The majority of the parts are the same. You're right, it's rare to find one with its original engine and yes, a stick car with air is even more rare. Good luck on the car ![]() -NJSteve |

You may be happy to know the mullet is gone, now if I can just lose these extra 25LBS I have accumulated, LOL! |

Have a question for you NJSteve...The Vigilite set up on the fenders, I recall that different Chevrolet models that had this option used different coloring on the Plastic lenses that are seen from the driver....I recall a set I had (but I cannot recall which car I pulled them from) that had I think it was Green White White [some may appear Blue instead of Green]. I see yours having Green White Red. Can you elaborate on this for us as for the differences for these? Thanx!

In 1968-69 ALL GM vehicles used a Green/Clear/Red RPO-U46 Vigilite Fender lens.
Begining in 1970 + ALL GM vehicles used a Green/Clear/Blue RPO-U46 Vigilite Fender lens. Rear Cobra eyes stayed the same colors throughout,Red/Clear/Red. I have three complete sets of these. |

Of your 3 sets, are any of them for the convertible? The rear Vigilite pod for a convertible is one of the holiest of holy grail pieces. I was lucky enough to find a complete NOS set several years ago. The second owner of my car pulled out all the vigilite stuff back in 1980 and threw it all away! The car still had all of the mounting holes and the cut fiber optic ends sticking out of the back of the marker lamps.
