Default metering block

How many guys with 1970 chevelle's have brass metering blocks on their cars instead of cast iron units? My original low mile ls6 car has a cast iron block,it's a june leeds car.

Have never seen cast iron metering blocks. I've only seen them from a zinc alloy. Does a magnet stick to yours?

Yes, a magnet sticks to it, has some numbers on the side, 0 34 D ,then on the bottom there is some letter,possibly an R or B, underneath it it looks like 2225 or possibly 8225, and finally underneath it is 0 1.
