Default M-22 Italian gear sets

Has anyone used or have any information on the M22 gear sets made in Italy? I am considering converting a spare M-21 to this configuration. Thanks for the help.

I have heard nothing but good things about those gear sets and have a friend that runs high tens with a set in his '55. The trick that everybody seems to be doing is going with the rockcrusher gear set in the 2.5 ratio instead of the 2.20. It's supposed to be good for a solid two tenths in the quarter over the 2.20 set. Two tenths is two car lengths and we've all won or lost races by two car lengths, right?

I just learned of the 2.5 1st gear today on these M-22 gear sets, which is one of the reasons I want to run them. Up until now i thought they were the original 2.20 1st gear only. I don't know who Crash is. If I do this swap I think I am going to use a local guy who has a few of his customers running the Italian gear sets with good results. I am going to stick with someone local (CT) as shipping a trans is a problem

I put them in my M-22...they were cost effective as I needed first and third gear=$$$ Ed Hartnett in Pa did the job...he speaks highly of them.

Bill...Crash is a member here. He has built some of the members transmissions.

Don...I don't know of a web site. You can email Crash for his number if you want to talk to him.
