So let me ask this question because of the way some people think about originality. This taken from the auction.
[ QUOTE ] I drove this car home from California with a 402 engine in it, pulling a motorcycle trailer with original block and all engine parts. Block was decked and wrapped in plastic from machine shop. Numbers were faint but there, 7N213442 T0412MW, so I had them stamped over the originals. [/ QUOTE ] One of the things I would like to see if someone is stamping the numbers back into the block is some sort of paperwork such as a POP for verification. In my opinion the block should have been left alone if the numbers were still readable. Rick H. |

I would think it is critical enough that he would have had some kind of very high quality pics before it was decked....

IMO, having a decked block with the partial Vin and date code still readible, but faint, is more credible and believeable than restamping over those same #'s again.

That's a beautiful car! I know a BB 69 pace car has a white rear panel, but I notice this '67 has a black one. Is the black panel correct for the big block '67 pacers?
Thanks, -Sam
