Original X-55 '69 SS Camaro question

This eBay auction is for a Butternut Yellow SS with Ivory
deluxe interior. Pretty combo with a 4-speed & 350.

Odd thing is an 02A build date, and the N/66 wheels. The
window sticker looks like a repro. I'm pretty sure the
N/66 wheels were early build only. Thoughts?

"N/66 wheels were early build only" Nope, this was an upgrade wheel instead of the XT steel dogdish wheel, as for the date I think this wasn't available until Nov. 68??? I could be wrong but I know that 02A car could have had them. Nice car, I wish I had more room...

I absolutely love BY on a 69 Camaro. I'd be all over this if bay 2 in my garage was still available.

The N66 "Sport Wheels for Camaro SS" were available to order from the start of 1969 production until the Dec 68 rev of Camaro ordering info. The Showroom Album revision page specifically states "delete N66 Sport Wheels".

With a body number of 256074 this car was ordered the 3rd week of January 1969, long after N66 was discontinued.

That is a repro window sticker.

That's a sweet combo - huh! I'm with you on the "if I had
a second bay open" thing. This would be a great driver.

I did hear from the owner on the wheels. It came with
ralley's, but he added these himself. I still think the
N/66 wheels look better on the SS Camaro's with the louver
hoods. That's what mine has.

Any idea why Chevy discontinued the N/66 option at the
end of 1968? Nove & Chevelle carried on with these wheels,
so why delete them. So many other options were carried
over into 1969, so what gives?

BTW, what is a Showroom Album? I've never heard about an
item of that description.

Just my opinion but I'm guessing manufacturing capacity. Those wheels were standard on Chevelle SS and they were selling all they could build. Every system has constraints and they probably needed all the N66 wheel production to support Chevelle sales.

There are other examples of Chevy production capacity limitations-1967 327 Corvettes with 427 hoods, 1968 Chevelles with Buick interiors, certain 1967 Camaros being built with interiors other than the one they were ordered with, 1969 COPO BE axles. Also the 1969 Chassis Service Manual lists the LT1 engine, never offered due to Z/28 sales taking off.

OK, hang on just a minute here. You're saying that the
LT-1 engine was destined for the 69 Camaro production year?
First I've ever heard of this William. Is this verified?
I'm not doubting you, just caught a little off center on
