Default Peace agreement.

As most of you know, through the years, there has been an on going battle between members of the sYc and the Detroithorsepower/Rabbit site, usually on other sites. Just recently this battle reared its ugly head again on the Team Camaro site. To try and end this once and for all, an agreement has been reached where members of each side leave the other side alone, not only on here, but on all websites. This includes, but is not limited to, no mention of the other one's website, no rebuttals to posts made by opposing members, no comments about opposing members cars.

I am instructing our moderators to enforce this on our site, and am respectfully asking members of the sYc to abide by this agreement as well. Also, I have suggested to Al that anyone who violates this agreement on one of his boards be instantly banned, no questions asked.

Thanks for your cooperation.

I am ecstatic to see this occur.

I would like to see this as the first step to mend the rift of 2 very active and informative sites.

And, as entertaining as it is to read about other people's 'soap opera's', it does nothing constructive for the hobby.

I applaud the effort to, at least, stop the sh%#-talking and focus on what our true passion is...muscle cars and maintaining their history and legitimacy.

Thanks for the 1st step effort (from both sites).

Tom, I'm most glad to see this peace agreement, and hope everyone involved manages to "play nice" and to remmeber it does little good to attack anothers opinion, while disputing things accepted by some as facts can and should be done, in a non personal way, with backup.

This whole thing has ignited a lot of interest in me regarding this lil piece of our hobby, and I may soon be putting you all to a test with a quest for info posted on Team Camaro.

Again, Kudos to all, this end of the hobby is far too small and rarified, not to mention interesting, to let personal feuds get in the way of uncovering more and more good info.

I might expound on the peace agreement and say that the same holds true on this web site, if you have nothing good to say, do everyone a favor and don't open your mouth. The continual smart a$$ comments need to quit and quit soon. Though many are meant in good humor, many of the "outsiders" who are not privy to the inside jokes take them the wrong way. Also, people need to quit critiquing anyone who voices their honest and forthright thoughts and (lacking harm) opinions. There are many people who have quit posting on here for fear of retribution and/or want no part of the adolescence that abounds on some sites. Because of that, we have lost a ton of great input and members who are well respected members of the hobby. Many others will never post anything on any site as they want no part of it. That is truly a shame.

I totally agree with Rick and Tom. I am a member of many sites but right here is always my first and many times my last stop when I have a car related issue. The people on this site have always been courteous and knowledgeable.

That's the reason I recently sent Tom my renewal check. (Well, there's another reason and that's the license plate holder I'm waiting for!)

I hope this peace agreement spurs the return of those who left because of disagreements or misunderstandings.
