Default '70 Camaro Rear end

I was looking to buy this rear end, but I need a '69.
In checking it out, I discovered something strange in the stamped code. It's a 3.08 posi/12 bolt.

Any opinions on the axle stamping?

The slash is a way to determine the difference between the letter oh (O) and the number zero (0). I remember having to use this while in the military so has not to confuse the two. Normally though, you would slash the zero's.

Rick, look closer at the stamping. There are 0 (zero)
digits that don't have the slash, so what gives here?

I've never seen an original code with a slash. Anybody?

I know, that's why I said it's normally the other way around.

I think who ever grabbed the stamp had it backwards. Never can tell what they did. Just adds a little more mystery to it.

The person stamping it must have either partied hard the night before, thought it was Monday and came to work or they were working overtime.

COT is a 3:07 posi. Weird gear combo.

I wasn't aware that they had any zero's with the slash as
fonts back then. Can anyone verify the use of the slashed-
zero anywhere else in that timeframe?

I have a 1970 COU rear assembly stamped using the zero.
Dated April I believe.
