Default 1969 4 BOLT 396 BLOCK 3955272 SS CAMARO NOVA CHEVE

Back by popular demand... I had sold this block here some time ago but it apparently did not go through, likely because I could not get around at the time to move the block or follow up with it due to knee surgery that occured prior to finishing the deal. I can't blame a guy for not wanting to wait 3 months for it. It is a 3955272 4-bolt block with a casting of H28 8 or H29 8 out of an L78 Nova SS which was sadly crushed. A true shame, it was a black on black 4 speed car so I was told. I will be going to Carlisle this year and can deliver it to the site if anyone here winds up buying it. I will also consider trades in place of cash from the people here in the form of body, engine or rear end parts for a 67 Camaro. The starting bid is $100.00.

Thanks,

Mike

How bad are the bores from sitting outside?

Pics are up on the auction page.

On a scale from 1-10 I'd say bore it again, line hone it and replace the main bolts. The bores have some pitting in them which is the reason I stated in the auction it would need to be bored. When I had it pressure tested at the machine shop they said it should clean up fine with no more than another 30 over which would make the block a 60 over 396 or 30 over 402 depending on how you want to look at it. There are no ridges in it, it just sat unprotected outside for too long.

Must have been asleep when I listed the auction. It closes Friday night so most people planning to bid will not know if they won to have it delivered if they are going to Carlisle. As a result, make an offer and I will likely close the auction early to accommodate people that are going. You can also give me a call at 732-361-8510.

Thanks,

Mike
