1970 402-375HP standard bore block dated J-18-9 with 30 over 396 pistons and rods, 6223 crankshaft turned 10 under. Block is all greased down and will remain standard. I have 6 dimple rods and two standard rods with the pistons on them for the block. The block reads T0615CTY 10W380706 and is a 375HP 400 turbo block out of a Nova originally but this code is good for a chevelle or camaro as well. $2000

Interesting dates, the block was cast in October and the engine went in a June or July car. Do you have any history on the engine? Mark

Not an isolated case.
There are at least two other 1970 L-78 Novas I have seen with this same engine casting, vehicle production date. |

No, I don't have any history. I can tell you that the front pad looks original to me and has not been restamped or altered in any way. I have had blocks that have been 7 months from the date of the casting of the block. This block is the farthest out yet that I have owned. I have had them both ways. One I had was stamped the next day for a 69 Z28 302 block.
