Over $100K bid for a non-GSX! And even more amazing is the reserve still isn't met. Wow....

Also a private auction. It would be interesting to see who the bidders are. Very nice car, stage 1, 4spd with a/c.

Had a chance to buy a 70 GS Stage 1 4spd Conv, light blue w/ white top and white interior in high school, $3500, Pop wouldn't lend me the $, told him it would be worth a lot of money some day, he laughed....

I would think that this car is one of handle 4-speed Stage 1 GS survivors left on the planet. My understanding is that other than the headers, this car is the real deal!

A very tough under rated car for sure and full of Torque too!
Back in HighSchool auto class,we used to get parts from the local GM dealership 5 minutes away, which happened to be Don McAuliffe Buick on Roosevelt Rd.
Back in April 1981,I remember a Red Stage 1 GS sitting on the used car lot,as we waited for the parts counter to free up.We asked if we could take it for a test drive, but the salesman who was as old as dirt, refused.Said we weren't experienced enough to drive it,so we flicked him off.
I think he was right.

Seller has a buyer at 130K. Not bad for a Buick!
