Need POSI tag for rear diff for 69 Camaro. Need NOT be NOS, but "nice" original. Thanks in advance.

What is correct for '69 & '70? Are the NOS & repro ones correct?

The original '69 fan tags I have seen use the word Positraction not Limited slip. The old repros used Ltd slip, but my latest Rick's catalog does indeed show the repro with Positraction. I am not sure on the 70 rears.

Positraction is correct for 69. I haven't seen the new Rick's catalog. I thought I was being crafty when I ordered a repo "Positraction" tag out of the Paragon Vette catalog but the fill plug hold was too big.

Interesting info for sure. The hole being too big is just the fact 65-67 used a 1 inch plug and the later years 3/4.
GM must have made the change from the posi tag to the replacement limited slip one in the early 70's. I checked what I have and the oldest NOS one was bought in 76 for a 69 but says limited slip. The trunk decal however says limited slip but the old fluid can says posi. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
