Default '67 Chevelle Wagon

Not mine but looks interesting.

I thought the L79 only came with a 4 speed?

Dan,

I don't see anywhere that it claims to be an L79....just a 327 4 barrel.

I did not know another 327 was offered besides the L79. Maybe I was thinking the next motor offered would be a 307? A 12 bolt with a 210hp 327 is still interesting I suppose. I guess I have to brush up on my baseline V8s.

from the ad... 1965 One Owner wagon, matching numbers. Has a 327,4barrel 2 speed P/G. A/C & Rare 12 bolt rear end in it. Very solid with little rust.

[/ QUOTE ]

In 65 a 327 with a 4 barrel carb could have been a 250hp, 300hp or 350hp. A 12 bolt usually meant the car had a 300 horsepower or above engine. The 350hp L79 wasn't available with a 'glide or a/c though.

------John,,,As well, you could have ordered a 220hp powerpack 283 as the 65 wagon Im doing over presently had that package with A.C. and the slip-n-slide. Presently it has a 30,000 mile 74 Z28 motor with a few mods and a 700R. Cant wait to finish it......Bill S
