Muscle Cars
Tom Mack ready to roll in Charlotte
Tom Mack is the guy who should really be credited with starting muscle car auctions. The long-time classic car dealer began having muscle car-only auctions in the mid-1980s, when the now sometimes very valuable cars were just old cars, which most people didn’t want. He saw a market for cars that would never be built again.
He has continued that belief, and will hold his Fantastic Fall Auction on September 14 and 15 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. A feature of the event is a private muscle car collection to be sold at no reserve. Two standout cars from the Brinkley Moore collection are 1967 Shelby Mustangs. Other cars available for sale, but not from Moore’s collection, include a Daytona Yellow 1969 Camaro Z/28 RS, a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang, a 1968 GTO and a red 1985 IROC-Z — 1985 was the first year Chevrolet offered these great-handling cars.
To consign your vehicle or for more details, call Tom Mack Classics at 888-TOM-MACK, or visit www.tommackclassics.com.
