Default 69 Chevelle Trunk Mats, Reproduction

Does anyone make a gray herringbone, foam backed trunk mat for a 69 Chevelle? I called ACC and they only make gray herringbone in rubber and fleece. They have the correct material with foam backing in a aqua which is not the correct color. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Phil

There was man running his own antique autoparts business back around 1996,out in Calif. I believe, that was going to make near perfect reproductions in fit, feel and finish of the 1968-72 Chevelle trunk mat.He had many of us hoping and literally sending him money to him to insure one.
I won't mention his name as many know of him,and are still looking for him for this & other legal reasons, but he later turned out to be shining us on,and took the funds he received and ran.A few guys in the NCOA were trying to get this same project to fruition, but then the NCOA went tits up & since then I never heard another word.

Ted Williams had a near perfect reproduction a decade ago, but he doesn't produce them any more. I called ACC today and asked if they would produce the correct color/material trunk mat, but said they didn't think there was a market for that. They have correct colors and materials, but can't seem to get the two together.

With as many 69 Chevelles as there are around, they have to be pretty stupid to make that statement I suppose they don't think there's a market for the correct color/material carpeting either

Bill,

I was shocked as well. I may call back for the heck of it and provide them with photo evidence of what the real deal is. If they made the right one, I'd buy 5 right now.

The cut is different on the 72 vs the 69. I have both so I can say that for sure. I'm not sure about 70 or 71. I'd have to look at a part number to be sure.
