Default "A" Body Spiral shocks

What is the source for repro spiral shocks for "A" body? I have heard of mixed reviews for the Camaro repro shocks. Are the A body the same?
I had NOS on my 442 a few years ago but by the time I trailered from Vancouver to Denver and back they were feeling kind of "soft".

I tried a set of repro spirals on my 69 camaro and didn't like them much. They look good, but the pistons pulled out hard and went in to easy.I installed anyway and ended up removing because i didn't like the ride.So i reinstalled the monroes and returned the repros. If you drive your car i wouldn't purchase these shocks, but if you show your car only then the repros would be just fine.

looks like ss396.com aka Ground Up carries the shocks I need. Any input on whether they are a good source IE prompt shipping. As with all car lines there are Good suppliers and not so good ones. I have not dealt with them before and would like a reference.

Had some bad experiences with Ground Up lately. Would recomend NPD (national parts depot). Ground Up does not know the meaning of the word prompt.

-------I bought my first set from Heartbeat for the Z Im doing and one came out of the box a leaker. They took it back and gave me another and to be fair they dont make them and Heartbeat has always treated me well. With that said, I would agree with the "show only" statement.......Bill S
