My friend is restoring a code 52-52 07A COPO Camaro, and the question came up as to how many Garnet red cars have been documented. Seems to be a rare color.
Any guesses? ![]() Thanks Andy

Nurse Chev-Olds in Whitby, Ontario sold a red one like above. It was written off in a bad accident in about 1970-71.

My car is red. I bought it '84 in Lorain, OH and had another red/ blk top car to look at in Cleveland but I bought the first one. C K Spurlock had a red/ blk top car that was in a few magazines. I always wondered about the info on these cars as they were all simliarly optioned Style trim, Red Blk top cars. Mike keener raced one optioned like these cars. (Pic attached). Always have wondered what happened to these cars and if they were possibly related.

I've got an L-72. Only two Garnet ZL-1s were made.

There are at least a dozen known Copo Camaros that are Garnet Red, certainly there were many more built.

Indeed Garnet Red was common, but how does one go about documenting how many of any given RPO were this color from the factory?
