Default 1969 SS 300 Deluxe Post Sedan

My client has decided to part with one of his best Chevelle`s. This is currently one of 3 Black SS 300 Deluxe Post Sedans known to exist today. The car was completely frame off restored four years ago. It is currently the only Black L34 350hp 396 Post Sedan known to exist. The engine is not the orginal, however great means were researched to find the correctly dated block. Not the original M21 trans, however it is a M22 Super Muncie, the rear end is the original born with code KK 4:10 posi 12 Bolt. Sold new at Van Chevrolet. No disappointments.

This car was featured last year as part of the 7 feature cars at last years 2007 Chevel-Abration, show casing the 1969 SS 300 Deluxe Post Sedans.

The car was also part of my 1969 Chevelle Display at Spring Vette Fest 2008.

I would love to see this amazing car be sold to a sYc member. I will be attending the Mecum Auction in Indianapolis the following week. Upon my return from Mecum I will be listing the car for sale on ebay. Feel free to speak to me at Mecum or call (630)699-5578 $65K

Thank You sYc,
Dan Vasic.

For what it is worth, I just picked up Mark's Mitchell's Turbo 400 from TSI Transmissions in Burnsville, MN after undergoing a total rebuild. I spoke to the owner, Duane about my restorations and his cars. Besides the fact that he currently owns a mint Cortez Silver 69 L78 Nova and talked to a Green Yenko Deuce owner from Bloomington (Earl ) said he was tall and friendly, at the Nova Nationals a couple of years ago, he also mentioned he owned a Black 69 L78 300 Deluxe Chevelle back in the 80's. I mentioned the fact that only three were known to exist and he was curious if his one one of those three.

Rick,

The next time you happen to speak to the guy that use to own a Black 1969 L78 300 Deluxe...I`m assuming it was a Post Sedan, you did not mention. If you can obtain a VIN of his former car, I can verify if one of the 2 Black L78`s was truly his car. I know where they currently reside and the current owners.

Dan.

Hey Rick! Are you going to post pictures of the Pilot car
restoration process for us to see? No pressure.

Wow, very nice car. But can somebody pontificate for the purpose of discussion on what a car is worth (other than the standard answer of " it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it"). Here you have what looks to be very nice car that does not have the original motor, trans and who knows what else. How does one come up with 65K price and what would this car sell for if it did have the born with components. I'm not bashing. I just want to know.....

Kyle,

Welcome to sYc.

To answer your question... Rarity. I have been following these 69 300 Deluxe Post Sedans for a long long time...and have traveled the country in search of real SS cars. To date (5/10/08) I currently only have 23 real SS 1969 300 Deluxe Post Sedans in my data base. The car is what it is....a non original engine and trans. But try finding another one.

Dan.
