okay, thanks. We know the guy who's uncle originally bought the car from Byrne Bros. and he went to his aunt's house to find the original paperwork but it didn't turn up. The uncle is dead.. We know the car is legitimate, but for shows and what not it would be nice to have the piece of paper.

I agree. Frank Arone on this site has a son Caleb who owns a Daytona Yellow Byrne Bros. COPO as well his screen name is FARONE but he goes by BUTTHEAD.

Both Brian and Jerry are national judges at GM Carlisle coming up June 20th in Carlisle, PA. It might help you if you go to the nephew and tell him it is worth money for him to find the paperwork.

He has searched high and low for it. My old man has know the car sine the early 70's and had the opportunity to purchase it in the early 80s. The car was raced at Englishtown and the other tracks on the Island. Where did all the paper work on the COPO cars go? GM has to have it stashed away somewhere...

GM Canada has all Canadian cars on file.
